Santerre Lab attends the 37th Annual Canadian Biomaterials Society Conference at Banff

On May 25th-27th, the Santerre Lab had the opportunity to attend the Canadian Biomaterials Society Conference in beautiful Banff! This was our first conference back in person and we were able to hear from graduate students, professors, and industry leaders in biomaterials from all across Canada. We had an amazing time and thank the organizers for all their efforts!

The following presentations were given from our students with Zach Gouveia winning Best Abstract, an award sponsored by ACS Publishing. Congratulations Zach!

Zach Gouveia: “Development of Ester-free vinyl Monomers for Dental Restorative Applications: Physical and Biological Characterization”

Brian Webb: “Engineering gingival grafts seeded with human adipose-derived stem cells”

Suja Shrestha: “Self-assembled Oligo-urethane Nanoparticles: Loading of CRISPR-Cas9 Complex for Non-viral Delivery to Cells”

Shirley Chung: “Delivery of Protein-Based Therapies Targeting the Regeneration and Repair of Cardiac Tissues”
